The latest news from the Facebook camp is that the most popular Social Network is launching Verified Pages, that should help fans identify which Brand, celebrity or other high-profile pages are authentic. As Facebook announced yesterday, these pages will feature a small blue "check mark" next to their name, as a sign that this page was checked and found to be authentic. This symbol will appear on the page and also in searches and on Timelines. For the time being, as Facebook stated, these pages "belong to a small group of prominent public figures (celebrities, journalists, government officials, popular brands and businesses) with large audiences" but the process is planned to roll out.
